1897 trench gun heat shield
This auction is for a reproduction 1897 Winchester Trench Gun heat shield with bayonet lug. The finish on the shield has been partially worn off. The 3 screws that hold the shroud to the barrel are slightly worn but functional. The overall condition is good. I will also include the magazine tube plug and screw needed in order to mount the shroud.Just a heads up, your heat shield has to be tight enough to the bbl so that the 3 screws bite into the bbl or it will move under recoil. I built a model 12 trench a few years ago. Turned out great. I also have a 1897 norinco trench. The heat shield for this was from East Taylor. It needed work. Good luck with your build.
