Took me forever to figure it out including contacting support for both OMNY and WageWorks. The answer: the zip code WageWorks had on file for me was still the original one from when the card was issued 2 years ago, not where I currently reside. I kept my metrocard on the back of my phone for easy access and was hoping I could do the same with the OMNY card; however, the rigidity of the card makes it hard to pull it out! WageWorksI used OMNY Google pay without any OMNY card. I believe Apple pay works the same way. I think you can even create an OMNY account without an OMNY card and link your Apple wallet to the account. Although there is little benefit for doing this without the OMNY card.
