The University of Kansas School of Medicine Department of Radiation Oncology in Kansas City, Kansas recruits and retains the best faculty, staff, and residents to provide a collaborative environment that fosters innovative approaches, and revolutionary technology for the treatment of cancer, and benign diseases.Lastly, collaborations between the department and KU Cancer Center core facilities in high-throughput drug discovery/re-purposing, genomics and bioinformatics have direct implications for translational radiation oncology research and has opened additional avenues for career development.It is a 24-month program comprised of a series of rotations with 2-3 months for each. A one-month clinical research rotation is also provided to each resident. The residents meet with mentoring faculty at least twice each week, and with Program Director at least once each month.
