Yeah, I own a V7 and V7S with MFR XS (standard) handguards and an M4A1 and MK18 with RIS2 quad rails. A previous employer had a PDW 300 Blackout with the MFR XL handguard, so I had it at my work (firearms industry). They are both great but yeah, it depends on what you want to do with it. M4A1 has a shorter barrel with a pinned muzzle device and picatinny rails. It can be a heavy gun with all the goodies. But it runs great. V7 has longer barrel, easily removal muzzle device for say a brake or QD suppressor device, and lighter MLOK rails.Sep 12, 2020 · I'd buy a centurion CM4 far before I'd ever consider a DD rifle. But I sold my 12" LMT Piston upper as my "work no matter what" upper when my 16" LMT DI chewed through RAS .223 and the piston wouldn't cycle one round without a can. And I started the using it. Because you can aim very easy with m4 because front sight removed from the screen when you use Holo. (like M16) Mk18 restrict your view with front sight. And from my exprience, its more stable. I hope they remove the front sight when you use Holo with Mk18 like other M series weapons. ….

There's a lot of people around here who will just parrot 'save up for MWS/VFC' even if you specify a lower budget. The gun is within your budget, the system is proven and has upgrade parts available, and if you can get one for about $300 from the market it's a good deal.
