This looks like a great little gun, shoots, feeds, cycles appropriately, etc. When I picked it up from my FFL, he couldn't tell what the first marking in on the serial number. It looks like a C, but doesn't have the bottom edge that you would expect..

The rifle has only 3 digits in the serial number clearly stamped on the rear stock tang under the lever. The numbers are 590. The bluing is still good and the receiver has some case coloring still in good shape. Is this a 1940 rifle or a 1941. Can't get over how smooth this rifle works.
