About the GeoRef Database: The GeoRef database, established by the American Geosciences Institute in 1966, provides access to the geoscience literature of the world. GeoRef is the most comprehensive database in the geosciences and continues to grow by more than 100,000 references a year. The database contains over 3.5 million references to geoscience journal articles, books, maps, conference ... Full-text available from the year 1997 to current. Citations only from 1994 to 1996. GeoRef records only prior to that. The extracted heavy-mineral concentrates were sieved into four fractions: <0.1 mm, 0.1–0.25 mm, 0.25–0.5 mm, and >0.5 mm. Magnetic minerals from each fraction were separated using a very weak magnet. Since awaruite is more magnetic than magnetite, its proportion in the resulting concentrate was high.
