Re: ford 6600 hydraulic in reply to foster12, 10-04-2007 18:01:13. the relief should pop at 2175 and will drop down a bit as it vibrates.... after you rev it up to 1600 rpms.... a good pump will do almost 2100 lbs at 1000 rpm... 6600s ran the fluid pretty hot and in my opinion wore out pumps a bit fast.

Its basicly a 6600 in a "rowcrop" version with more high, and some maybe mean "clumsy". ... he sold it in 91 with around 6500 hours on the clock and we never had any major problems with it. Starting in 1979, only the diesel engine was available. Displacement: 256 ci. 4.2 L. Bore/Stroke: 4.4x4.2 inches. 112 x 107 mm. Compression:EA2 is a 6600. The 1 says it has a diesel engine. The 4 says it has single speed independent 540 rpm PTO. If the last character is an M then that would mean that it has an 8 speed transmission with dual power. 1A26B is the Unit Number, which means that it left the assembly line on January 26 1981 during the day shift. ….

Look for the matching connector under the paneling beneath the key switch.
