Branson 2400H, JD X540. On my 2400H the instructions are to move the control lever to max height and then adjust the lift control rod so that you can still lift the arms approx 1/2". The biggest thing I found was that the draft position lever was out of adjustment (about 50% off). Adjusted per the I&T manual. Draft control is used primarily for plowing, and can sometimes cause strange problems with the hydraulics. Also try moving the lever slightly forward from the full "up" position, to see if it works better. Next, try adjusting the Restrictor Spindle on Flow Control Valve. The manual says the pressure relief valve is underneath the tractor in the bottom of the hydraulic unit. Does not appear to be there.
