Even if you have inactive additional retainers ("contract suspended") they stay with your character after a transfer. I had to rename an inactive retainer when I transferred an alt to another server. I guess the support didn't restore any of your extra retainers. They should appear with the "Contract suspended" when inactive.As of 5.4, gear matters for amount of rewards retrieved and chance of high quality, but does not affect the pool of rewards. That's determined by retainer level. So it matters for exploration, though you can't gather HQ anymore and instead you sometimes just get bonus rewards, and in quick ventures matters really not at all.Prior to the most recent patch, I received Bacon Bits via retainer venture 4x. On the Mog Station, you can add 1 or 2 additional Retainers, for max total of 4 Retainers. Each additional Retainer that you add costs real money, added as a service to your monthly fee that you pay. Quick Exploration ventures with your retainer gear above the threshold for better items has the most potential for profit. From rare minions to random songs, equipment, and furnishings. You will get a significant amount of blues and greens. I just funnel those back thru for ventures.From these ventures, your retainers will bring back items, which range from dungeon and trial equipment, minions (that can only be gotten this way) and even unique crafting materials. All characters do doman enclave each week, main and 3 alts (caught up with msq/unlocks) do custom deliveries, doman and island sanctuary weekly reset each week.
