Sep 16, 2018 · Currently, there are two major favorite boss mods that guilds mainly use, Deadly Boss Mods, or DBM, and BigWigs. Both have their ups and downs, with different customizations and different options available, but that's not what we will focus on today. Today we want to talk about what goes into building those tools for the community. You need either DBM or BigWigs addon for this to work. It basically displays bw/dbm (bossmod) timers as icon when 4/6 seconds are left on the timer and uses a shorter name. It literally takes the timer from bossmod and displays it, so weakaura is...bigwigs is preferred by the hardcore scene because it historically gets constant updates during the prog phase. We're talking multiple updates a day in the opening week or two of the tier. Highlight of BW was when it was the first place to compile the mechanics for the cho'gall phase of margok. Bigwigs is much easier on my computer. DBM was giving me significant frame rate drops in raids. For me, DBM tanking performance was a deal breaker, so I stuck with Big Wigs + GTFO (for the stuff on the floor). Dbm shows too much information that isn't completely relevant imo.

Use BigWigs if you want timers and a very minimal amount of guidance but don’t exactly need your hand held through everything. I would say just don’t use boss mods and be a better player for it ...BigWigs is an alternative to DBM that is generally significantly more lightweight, easier to customize, and looks slightly more simplistic. If you like its simplistic aesthetics, you can also consider using LittleWigs, a BigWigs plugin that features modules for 5-man dungeons.May 28, 2023 · Displays a circle graphic with a timer on your debuff. I've typically been a DBM user, but it seems like every expansion, one of these add-ons is just superior. I've heard many people this expansion say that currently BigWigs is better …DBM.
