Still, try to shift it manually since a broken tooth on the shift reduction gear, dirty/bad shift motor or the angle sensor can throw a 22 code. If it shifts good manually then probably the angle sensor.

When she first starts out with a cold engine, shifing from 1st to 2nd, you have to hit the shift button 3 or 4 times before it will shift into 2nd. After running the bike for awhile and the engine is really warmed up, it will shift alot better.Feb 6, 2012 · The ES models are almost identical to the foot shift models, except the ES just uses an electric motor to move the shift linkage.
